Sergey Antipov received his PhD in 2007 from Illinois Institute of Technology. He performed his thesis work at Argonne Wakefield Accelerator Facility. He studied particle interaction with anisotropic and dispersive medium and artificial structures (metamaterials). He also works on breakdown investigations in high gradient electron guns and EM simulations of the ILC positron target.
He received his B.S. degree in Physics from Nizhny Novgorod State University and Institute of Applied Physics (Russian Academy of Sciences) in 2003 where he worked on the design of phase correctors for gyrotrons. His research interests include high power RF sources and advanced accelerator concepts based on artificial materials.
